COAT & GROOM TIPS

Welsh Corgi Cardigans have a moderate length and dense double coat. The outer coat is somewhat firm, but not wiry or silky. The softer undercoat is dense and guarded by the outer coat. The body coat is not trimmed for show.

Protein shampoos and coat conditioners enrich this breed's coat. A final spray of protein coat conditioner or gloss is nice.

MORE GROOMING TIPS FOR PROFESSIONALS

Very little is normally done to the body coat except to possibly lightly neaten it, especially around the pasterns. Combing is more useful than brushing on this coat.

Multi-Breed Books

These books contain little or no breed specific grooming information. They do provide very good to excellent general breed information. Of course, having pictures of the breed is a great help when grooming the breed compared to having nothing else.
