Kesha

This is Kesha. She is a tired old girl, a Keeshond, that I last groomed over one year ago. This is the second time I have groomed her, and it is the last time that I will go through all of that work again. She is scheduled to come in at 8 weeks from this last groom, or her chances of being shaved will increase. I did not want to shave her this time because she is an outdoor dog, and winter is coming. Apparently the sprinklers in the backyard are what helped get her into this condition.

She was covered in sticks, burrs, mats, ultra-packed undercoat, and dirt. She was very patient with me as I shampooed her, and then used the force dryer and brush to pull out the packed undercoat. She was very tired by the end of the 3 hours (and so was I!). I worked hard to keep her coat, to protect her from the elements, without hurting her or pushing her too hard. I think she felt SOOO good just to have a bath!
