This is Scruffy. He's a 10 year old Lhasa Apso which I've been grooming for all of those years. This isn't how Scruffy has always looked. He used to be groomed every 4 weeks without fail. He would come in without any mats and his owner would have a whole list of special instructions of just how he should look and type of products used on him. His care was over and above what a normal dog would get. If he sneezed, he was rushed to the vet. Things have certainly changed in his life. His owner has a new life where Scruffy has become an afterthought. Basically, if he can't see or move too well, it's time to come to be groomed. My heart goes out to him whenever I see him in such sad shape. The owner's last excuse was that she had no money, so this groom was for free. The way this little guy crawls up into my arms and wraps his paws around my neck after he's all clean and trimmed, was payment enough for the groom. You can't put a price on that.
