My name is Toni Cullinan and this is why I became a groomer. I worked in the legal field for 12 years. I was beginning to thing that
I hated people. That is really sad, considering, I am a very outgoing
type of person. I remember waking up every morning, thinking to myself I have had animals all my life and have groomed my own and some friends since I was about 16. One day I had had enough of those attorney's and their secretary's yelling in my ear, I finally decided I had to do something else with my life. At that time I wanted to work from home at my own pace and my own schedules, which we all know that is not the real world. I knew I wanted to do something with animals but just didn't know what yet. After surfing the net for a few hours I stumbled upon this great website, PetGroomer.com. I looked around at a lot of different things that day but for some reason kept coming back to this page. That night I sat with my husband on the porch with our two Rottweilers and made the decision I wanted to become a professional groomer. And that is how it all started. I went to a grooming school in Florida. I graduated and found a job at Landmark Kennel. Since I wanted to start my own business, I thought what a better place to start with no clients. I have been grooming since October 2001 and am slowly building up my clientele. I have over 75 clients and love my job dearly. I love interacting with the animals. I wish I would have done this 12 years ago. I want to build my business at Landmark to 500+ clients and become a Master groomer. My husband tells me he sees a big change in me. I come home exhausted but happy now. My life has changed for the better. I look forward to making a new friend everyday. There is no feeling in the world then to see your clients eyes light up when you bring their baby out all spiffed up, clean, smelling great and wagging those happy tails. Good luck to all. Toni L.
